Greetings to all returning SHOWCASE Artists and a warm welcome to new artists venturing into the SHOWCASE world for the first time!
Last year's SHOWCASE was a great success thanks to all of our incredible artists. We are very excited for SHOWCASE 2011. We hope that you will plan on joining us again this year.
WHAT'S NEW FOR 2011:
Based on your suggestions from 2010, this year's SHOWCASE will include new features that will benefit new as well as returning guests:
* SHOWCASE 2011 is now a one day event, made easier for artists to showcase their talents and attendees to make the most of their time at the event.
* Artists no longer need to audition for a performance slot. However, priority for performances will be given based on how early you register and whether or not you have performed in the past, so be sure to register early! See below under "performance information" for further details.
* Artist fees have been reduced to $250 for a single booth. Remember that this includes one SHOWCASE Resource Guide, one listing in the guide, one lunch, and a list of all attendees.
* Attendee fees have been reduced to as low as $15 for advanced registration, so higher attendance is expected.
GENERAL ARTIST INFORMATION:
Booths are assigned on a FIRST-PAID basis. You will be placed on the list in the order that your payments are received IN FULL.
Deadline for Artist Registration is Friday, August 5th, 2011. Registration for SHOWCASE 2011 will include your booth, one book listing in the SHOWCASE 2011 Resource Guide, one lunch, one copy of the SHOWCASE 2011 Resource Guide, and an electronic list of all SHOWCASE 2011 attendees. Additional lunches will be available for purchase.
EXHIBIT BOOTH CHOICE:
If you register before Friday, June 24th, 2011, Artists are allowed to choose up to four (4) preferred booth numbers to occupy during SHOWCASE. If your first booth choice is unavailable or is next to an artist with a similar discipline, you will be given your next available choice. If all of your four (4) choices are either taken or near an artist with a similar discipline, our SHOWCASE staff will attempt to put you as close to your first choice as possible. Please note that all booth placements will be at the descretion of SHOWCASE.

PERFORMANCE INFORMATION:
As in the past, all Artists can apply for the the opportunity to perform a six (6) minute "preview" of their performance or act on our professionally equiped stage at SHOWCASE 2011.

NEW TO 2011:
* There will be no auditions for a performance slot this year. All registered Artists will have the opportunity to apply for a performance slot.
* Performance slots will be determined by the SHOWCASE staff based on the following criteria:
- When the Artist registered for SHOWCASE 2011
- When the Artist last performed at SHOWCASE (priority will be given first to qualified Artists who have not performed before, then to Artists who performed two (2) years ago, and then to Artists who performed last year)
* All Artists who wish to perform at SHOWCASE and HAVE NOT performed or auditioned in the past three (3) years MUST submit an example of their act or performance (DVD, video tape, online video, etc.). This is needed to determine if SHOWCASE can accommodate your performance.
Once your registration is received, we will contact you to discuss your performance slot.
Once a performance opportunity is determined, a $250.00 technical fee is due to confirm your slot.
* Deadline to register for a potential performance slot: Friday, June 3rd, 2011.

ARTISTS WILL FORFEIT THEIR BOOTH AND BE PLACED AT THE END OF THE WAITING LIST.
